Janna Audey: Calendar

What an incredible night this was...my first outdoor show of the year!  What I love about Potomac Point Winery is the location and the people (of course, the wine and food, too!).  But, being a musician, an entertainer, my primary focus is to make the evening enjoyable and memorable.  This means I have to connect to the audience.  Read the crowd.  And truly get to know them on my breaks.  As soon as I walked in, I saw Kirk, soon to be joined by his lovely wife, Sharon, and two of their three dogs, Charlie and Dexter.  At the end, I met a beautiful family-- Suzie from the state of Washington, her daughter, Laura (or was it Linda?) and her husband, Gary.  What warm people.  In between, I met groups of people, one celebrating the birthday of their friend, Ashley, and another...well, celebrating life!  I am thankful that I have a gift in music, one that allows me to travel around a bit, meet and connect with other human beings, and contribute to a night where the only purpose is to kick back, relax, and have fun!
